Star Walk 2: Stars and Planets 앱 리뷰

Better HD screen and excellent + Constellations

I have enjoyed this app for years, and I still am very impressed! This is the best thing I have found online and I’m not looking for anything else because it fits all my bills

Amazing app forever

I like it very much, thank you …. Please add JAMES WEB Satelite ,,,,,

Phenomenal Sky Gazing App

For a nonprofessional that loves stargazing and occasionally pulling out the telescope to have a look, this app is perfect. Dear devs, Can you please add a setting to select the type of news shown in the widgets? All I ever see is satellite information and what is wanted is eclipses, meteor showers, comets, planets, and stars. I turned the widgets on every so often but after seeing nothing but satellite updates I turned them back off. Thank you!

Easy and fun

Star Walk 2 bring the sky alive making it a joy to get answers to questions about the stars

Used To Be Wonderful, Now...

The view rotates across compass directions as I hold my 4th Gen iPad Pro steady. Eventually it may end up displaying the northern sky while I'm facing south. I used to love it - not anymore.

Too many graphics

I really don’t like this app. It isn’t user friendly. I’d like to see what stars and planets I’m looking at without all the graphics

Price

Love the App but being retired had to cancel the pro version? They could offer a discount or Free for disabled Physics related professionals!

Time well spent

I can spend a hour looking through the pictures and views on star walk and I always consider it time we’ll spent

Wow!

I know little about the sky beyond the moon, but this amazing, eye-opening, OMG, so much here to learn! Thk-U!

Much to learn

I’m a retired science teacher, love astronomy, so much more to learn, Star Walk makes it interesting and easy.

Star Walk 2 is Amazing

SW2 is my go to app for revealing the night sky!

Best stargazing app I’ve ever used

Love this app! I use it for my plants, still can’t believe it’s free

Nice app, but I have a proposal

It's a great app, but there is a bug. I found that in the description of "Betelgeuse (α Ori)" in the app, it is called "the ninth brightest star in the night sky", but in fact it is the tenth. I hope you can verify and correct it.

Hard to use

There is no tutorial how to use these apps, I have all three. They are hard to use although there is good information in Star Gazing.

Informative and Beautiful….and surprising!

I’m really here to say that Santa was a most delightful & unexpected touch! Bonus to whoever came up with that.

Awesome astronomy

This helped me learn about astronomy and it is really interesting to learn about all those stars and planets that is why I put this five star review 😁

Works well

It just needs a little more precision Haven’t seen one better. Worth the money

Amazing program!

Enjoy viewing the constellations, planets and stars. The graphics are beautiful. What I would like to view the area 30 degrees below the horizon. Now there are just wave patterns. Stalk walk 1 has this ability. Also the program does not synchronize all the time with objects in the sky. When it works you can point your phone at the sky and see where the stars and planets are at that moment.

W T F

this is the coolest app I know have, lol - necessary to anyone that likes cool stuff.

Font size

Recommend the font size be larger.

Search moon in sky

Can’t find crescent moon 12/4/24

Stuff bscures planets

Stuff obscures planets

Directionally Challenged App

The app needs to stop and ask for directions. It can’t locate anything.

Great app

Excellent app for all levels. Quickly identifying any object once you learn to use it. Very simple to use and intuitive

Music plays even when set to off.

Why can't you fix the "Music" in your app.? For the past several years, when the music is set to off; when I reopen Star Walk 2 after it being completely closed, the music plays for a second or two.

Too many notifications, can’t turn them off

I get multiple notifications per day from this app and turning all the notifications off in the settings doesn’t do that. Plus there are no detailed options for the few events i would like to know about, but you’ll happily let me know every time a planet or star gets close to the moon. Test this stuff instead of just letting it fester for years. I’m going back to Night Sky. Edit: the dev has helpfully replied that notifications are handled by the system. I’m aware of that. However, I’m referring to the choice of specific notifications that is supposedly offered in the app settings. I turned the “events” off under the notifications settings, which i assume would not notify me every time a constellation or planet or literally anything is approaching another celestial body. Imagine my surprise when i keep getting those notifications and other for events. Huh. It’s like the option doesn’t work.

Outstanding

I’ve been using this app for years and have found it the best. In a class of it’s own.

Hard to use

I found almost impossible to set for the desired day and time. The scrolling settings were much too sensitive to us on my iPhone. Frustrating.

Absolutely AMAZING

10/10! What is more awesome than an app where you can point your camera to the sky and it tells you exactly what you’re looking at?! Its also very user-friendly, which is always a huge plus! Definitely impressed with this app.

Do it

Very helpful app! Love being able to figure out what I’m lookin at in the night sky in real time!

Mainstay

This is an app I keep going back to. The comet addition is up to date and helps me to find exciting cosmic events in the sky.

Wrong country listed for where I live

I am in the Republic of Kosova, not Serbia.

yass

love

Annoying

Music is over-loud and annoying. Constant upselling. Information is poorly conveyed, confusing. Entices, then forces you to wade through to try to find the biggest. Really annoying.

Traveling

I use this app as I travel, especially in dark sky areas. It helps us connect better with the universe God gave us. Thank you for helping us to connect.

Can’t clear messages

You get notices of updates on solar positions with no option to clear all recent notices.

The old app was less (attention seeking)

Like a small child acting out...this app is constantly throwing up message bubbles..."Look at me, look at me." I'll look at you when I want to look at you.

Awesome and helpful!

Great app: intuitive, fun, helpful. Packed with info and cool content! Love the compass feature! Love how accessible this makes star and sky gazing and astronomy!

Outstanding live moon gazing and screen captures

Best quick and easy live observations of moon.

Used to be good, but...

This app used to function seamlessly, but the recent iOS app updates have rendered it useless. Disappointing because this used to be one of my favorite apps!

Amazing app

This app has it all. Really makes everyday people feel like astronomist. Amazing app.

Don’t buy it

Not worth it

Wutzrong

It is very sluggish. Maybe I’m not using it correctly?

Not as good as the original

Update Aug-9-2024: Looks like they fixed the issue of having to zoom all the way in to find an object. Good job. But now…holy moly…they made this app so gaudy that I cant stand looking at it. Why is the night-sky bright blue??? Its dark blue in the original, which is easy on the eyes and looks great. And what’s with the gaudy diffraction spikes on all of the stars??? It looks terrible! Looks like someone thought it’d be a good idea to bedazzle the app. Bad choice. You guys fixed one issue but then decided to make it as gaudy and ugly as possible. Because of this, I have to leave this review at one star. Guy’s, the original is a work of art. Its nice to look at and its very useful. Do yourselves and everyone else a favor and go back to those aesthetics. Original review: It’s hard to find anything without using the search function. You have to zoom way in before objects will start to become visible, which is very different than the original version. Also, in the original, for example, the galaxies actually look as they do in reality. In this new version, they just use generic images of galaxies. For instance, the Whirlpool Galaxy is 2 galaxies, one being devoured by another. But in this new version, they only show some generic galaxy that looks nothing like reality. Same with the cigar galaxy which looks like a cigar in reality and in the original version, but here it’s just a fuzzy round mass. They really got lazy with this new version. I actually don’t even use it anymore. I went right back to the original. I’m actually p***** a little bit that I paid for this junk. At the absolute least...fix the images used for galaxies. Make them look like they do in real life, like you do in the original Star Walk. Very disappointing. Dec-23: In response to the developer. The issue is not having more objects, the issue is that often I want to find objects by zooming in. In the original version, you only had to start zooming a little before galaxies and nebulae, for example, would start to become visible, which made finding them much easier. With this version, you have to zoom almost all the way in before they begin to become visible, and that level of zoom makes it impossible to find anything without the search function. As for how objects look in the app versus reality, your 3D modeling is terrible if it can’t reflect reality as it did in the old app. A ‘picture’ of what an object actually looks like is leaps and bounds better than a “3D model” of some generic object with zero basis in reality. Sorry, but you have not convinced me with your comment that you made the right choices on these two matters.

Excellent app

This app is so well done. Great way to learn. And the visuals and sound are gorgeous.

This is a great app!

This app is truly great. The music is very calming and nice to listen to and is a great way to learn about planets, stars, and constellations. Great for star gazing when you don’t know what celestial objects you’re seeing in the night sky. 10/10 app, truly amazing.

any day now

Love this app!! Will always be my all time favourite! O

StarWalk2

The astronomical portion is great but the intrusiveness of the children’s games and so-called anti-aging apps for the “elderly” are highly annoying. I have no children and so have no need for any of these apps. Yet, there seems no option to shut them off and leave the astronomy alone. I’d appreciate that option. I’ll check back to see if that’s been done and adjust my subscription accordingly.

Just wow

There’s so much to say but I’ll keep it short. I’m starting to believe NASA was only created to keep the public hidden from the truth. I’m sure these apps play a pivotal roll in doing the same. The truth is a lot stranger than fiction. The powers that be lie and lie and lie to save face and avoid admitting to any wrong doing. It’s their policy.
